Jan 29, 2014. #2. 4H= lock hubs then press 4H button on dash while driving or stopped, no difference. 4L= keep 4H button pressed and hubs locked, stop, shift transmission to N or P (N works better in my experience), pull rearward on transfer case shifter until it stops, shift trans back to D and enjoy.
Mar 22, 2017 路 Burtor. Those buttons should be working. What those lock symbols mean is that you are locking the *transfer case* between the front and rear drive shafts. The adventure package adds more buttons on the right of the bezel, and they can additionally lock the rear (and/or front) differentials.
